For more information

First opened in 1926 as a reading room for Miners of Bentinck colliery. The Miners Welfare was created for the people of Kirkby In Ashfield and local areas to enjoy a community get-together with working class groups from all backgrounds. Land was later acquired to facilitate a football and cricket pitch, providing sporting and recreation support for our community.

Since 1926, the Welfare has been a hub for the local population, growing in reputation, in later years bringing live bands, entertainment, bingo and all manner of community support events.

We are actively seeking Volunteers and sectional leeder to help.

Please contact the club if your think this is for you!

We continue to move forward, and hope this website will provide a link to what we're doing, and what great plans we have in the future....
